Fishing

Greenland - a paradise for recreational fishermen

Activity overview

Greenland is indeed a paradise for recreational fishermen. Around Nuuk you can enjoy a real wilderness experience in secluded valleys with pristine rivers and fast-flowing clearwater fishing. Hotel SØMA Nuuk can arrange a local operator to guide your finishing trip. If lucky, you will be eating freshly caught trout for dinner.

In Sisimiut it is possible to fish both in the sea and in the mountain lakes. Here you can enjoy fishing regardless of your level of expertise. Unique experiences are guaranteed. Hotel SØMA Aasiaat is located on a small island, almost right at the sea level and fishing is still a central occupation for many locals. The sea is full of fish such as cods, atlantic wolffish, redfish and Greenlandic Halibut. All of them offers a good fight and for sure a good taste. The trip starts from our private dock in the speedboat Malik and the length of the trip can vary. The season for sailing is expected to begin in the beginning of week 23 and ends end the end of September.
